Eid Day!
I couldn't sleep last night,
You slept well and got up relax,
You took shower and wore your new dress ,
I took my scrubs and with hair uncombed, ...
You went for eid gah
I went for my ER,
You prayed your prayers,
I put my notes on Er slips,
You greeted your friends,your loved ones,
I greeted my patients,
You tasted the delicious food of your home,
I took my Sting and biscuits as usual,
While your loved ones were greeted with hugs,
I did CPRs of critical patients,
We both were tired,
You with your family and me with the people I never knew,
You went for outing with your family your kids in the evening and enjoying drinks,
I was there in resuscitation room infusing Ringer Lactate and blood to the patients,
While you were back in your home and slept on your comfortable mattress,
I just put my head on the table in a state hypoglycemic and dehydrated,
You kept waiting for your favorite Eid show,
I kept noticing the Clock waiting for my shift to finish,
We both spent the eid day,
You spent for yourself,
I spent for Humanity!!!
I don't get holidays ,
Because hospitals never sleep,
Doctors never give up!!!
